Note regarding alternative and/or complementary treatments and therapies

At this point it shall be formally expressed, that naturopaths / health practitioners also recommend or apply therapies and treatment methods which are not scientifically acknowledged.
It corresponds to the thinking of this profession to occasionally have a different opinion and approach regarding certain health conditions and their treatment than a formal medic might have.
That understanding doesen't make the alternative or complementary way always the better one. And it also doesn't support the dogma of formal medicine being always the only option. For the sake of a patient the best of both worlds should always be taken into consideration. Both professions have the same goal, the wellbeing of the patient.
In our practices we are well aware of the scientific differences and we are also very well aware of our limits. Therefore we keep close relations with (preferably the patients own) medical doctors and other medical specialists.

The seemingly obvious contradiciton between the methods of scientific medicine and complementary medicine is shown the moment, when complementary methods tend to refuse the firm and strict scientific lab conditions that should prove their validity, no matter how successful these methods may be with certain patients.

But even such well-known procedures as kinesiology, homeopathy and acupuncture, which are successfully used in countless medical practices, are repeatedly refuted by appropriate scientific studies - and vice versa!

In our practices, in addition to the necessary medical procedures, only those alternative methods are applied that are familiar to the respectively trained therapist and which can be regarded as helpful and conducive to the patient.
In addition to common sense and respect for the individual person, this is also required by the relevant professional regulations and laws for the protection of public health.
